NanoScoping had the privilege of being selected in the ‘Innovative Solutions for Combating Covid-19’ grant from Finep and achieved the fifth position among approved projects!
This project’s main objective is to demonstrate the effectiveness and safety of two nanotechnological products from our disinfection line, Nano Melaleuca and Nano Safe Bio. These products were developed from nanoencapsulated natural assets with the purpose of preventing Covid-19 and have proven antiseptic and disinfectant action, including efficacy against the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2).
With the financial support from Finep, NanoScoping intends to immediately launch two final products on the market: a hand antiseptic and a surface disinfectant. The primary focus will be on preventing epidemics like Covid-19.
Both products are formulated from natural raw materials known for their strong antimicrobial properties. Furthermore, these raw materials are biocompatible and biodegradable. The antimicrobial action of the products has been extensively tested against various bacterial strains, including S. aureus, E. coli, P. aeruginosa, and S. typhimurium. The controlled release of the assets from the nanoparticles results in prolonged antiseptic and disinfectant action, positively contributing to the control of bacterial and viral spread. Additionally, ongoing assessments of antimicrobial action over time are planned, as well as tests to ensure the safety of product use.
