Melatonin is an endogenous hormone that, despite being commonly associated with sleep regulation, supports antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities and has a high affinity for skin receptors, making it suitable for topical use as a protective and anti-aging agent.The use of nanocarrier systems such as micelles is an alternative to overcome the limitations of melatonin’s degradation and solubility, promoting better skin absorption and enhancing its activity.
Recommended use: External use. Serums and facial gels, micellar tonic solution for the scalp (1 – 10%).
